| H I S T O R Y |
The dense, baking land of the Ashfall Waste was where this Guardian had been born to. The constant fires glinted off his crystalline hide, giving him the illusion of a walking ruby with flickering fires burning within. It was a fitting image to him; even as a hatchling, the dragon was ruthless and passionate, growing bolder and braver the older he became. From hatchling to adulthood, the Guardian was always challenging his fellow dragon mates to friendly duels, coming out as the victor to a majority of fights. He was known as The Fiery One, as dangerous and unyielding as the flames blazing within their home.

But as time forged on, Mars was growing restless of careful fights with friendly dragons. He wanted a challenge, something to showcase his strength and determination. It wasn't long until he started picking fights with the enemies of the dragons, challenging members of the rebellious Beastclans, creatures as hardened and fierce as he was. Friends joined in his scrimmages seeing it as an opportunity to drive out the dangerous beasts. Scars started appearing in his crystal skin, but the dragon was becoming hardened and cold, beyond the playful boaster that he once was. Mars was now a warrior, battle-hardened and somber. Several years in falling to his brooding state, Mars was now training everyday, preparing himself to become a personal guard to the Flamecaller.

His ambition was strong, and his strength was virtually unmatched. For such a serious attitude that had become him, Mars could feel pride in himself blooming in his chest. Nothing could break the sights to his goal, until a wandering Skydancer decided to take a break from her journey. She was beautiful, crystal skin just like his, bright yellow that reflected the light of the fires. Though reserved, she was kind, and as they talked and shared stories, she was able to coax out the soft side of the Guardian that had been buried for so long. It took but two nights for Mars's change of heart, and he was off with her once she was ready to set on her journey again, leaving the glossy obsidian behind to follow a new flame.
