Biography

Octavio wishes he looked as fabulous as Lazarus but he was not born that way. So, he tries to make up for it with flashy apparel.

Trainer Bio:

Octavio is a Mire trainer. He specializes in whipping trainees into shape to serve clans and elemental deities.

When training in the Coliseum with Octavio, your dragon team should consist of Octavio and the two dragons you are attempting to level. This dragon is optimized for the Mire, as it is of the Arcane element and appropriately statted, and is not recommended for any other venue. It is considered a more advanced build, and frequent reloads are common.

For the first fight, reload the Coliseum until you get a pack with at least two mages. Mages in the Mire are the Blackwing Croaker, Mistwatch Shellion, Common Podid, Salve Kamaitachi, Psywurm, Brilliant Psywurm, Wetland Unicorn, and Mossy Cerdae. Everything else are melee fighters.

It is also recommended to reload if you start with a pack of two or more Salve Kamaitachi, Psywurm, Brilliant Psywurm, Wetland Unicorn, or Mossy Cerdae. You should reload if you encounter a Wartoad or Molten Wartoad.

For your starting fight, Scratch one opponent to death. By the time that happens, you should be able to scratch the other opponent(s) twice before using Eliminate on it to finish it. If your first fight goes badly (e.g. someone dodges your Eliminate), reload. After the first fight, Rally then Eliminate all opponents except for Brilliant Psywurms (you still have to Scratch-Eliminate Brilliant Psywurms, Wetland Unicorns, and Mossy Cerdae). Kill any melee fighters first, then move on to the mages. Reload if your health starts to get very low. Return to the main menu as needed to refresh your health.

Do not breed this dragon, Tincture it, alter its battle stones, or edit this information box.

Advanced Tips:
  • Use Sap in exchange for Scratch if you are low (~ less than 50) on health and have 50 breath or more.
  • Use Haste on your first turn to gain a bonus 5 breath without losing a turn if there are no Venomous Toridae, Kamaitachis, regular Psywurms, Cerdae or Unicorns.
  • Cerdae and Salve Kamaitachi can use Contuse are you. When this happens, you have a puff of smoke as a status icon for your dragon, and its attack power is reduced by 25%. When this happens, you must Scratch first before you can Eliminate to finish a dragon.
  • In a pack of mage fighters, kill Cerdae and Salve Kamaitachis first to best avoid the effect of Contuse.
  • If you run into any Wartoads, reload.

For more information on this build and how to use it, see Kiena's Coliseum Grinding/Exalting Guide (link), section 2.4 "Advanced Exalting".

Update: This dragon has been restated in light of latest Mire updates. As such, this bio needs to be updated. However, this dragon has already been re-statted appropriately per the following guide: Battle Stones and Coliseum Builds - Mire Trainer.

Exalting Octavio to the service of the Earthshaker will remove them from your lair forever. They will leave behind a small sum of riches that they have accumulated. This action is irreversible.
