Formerly a student of Hanna's, Blaze appeared at the old clanhome to further his training-if he could learn magic, he thought, he could become far stronger than he already was. However, he quickly found that he didn't have the patience for it.

"Magic was not Blazes first failed venture into improving himself, nor would it be his last. Blaze was draw to the new, novel and bizarre. Anything that could make him stronger, better, faster he was ready to try. Meditation calms the mind and harness your power? Blaze tried that. Painting sharpens the reflexes and improves your whit? Blaze tried that too. Underwater basket weaving to improve circulation and increase focus? Sign Blaze up.

Blaze was great at trying new things, but he lacked the concentration and patience to see most of them through. His mind moved so quickly from one idea to the next, and his body needed to move for him to be truly himself. For this reason, he was best on the training field, fighting and teaching other to fight. And his ventures into learning were never a complete loss, as he incorporated small pieces of his learning on the battlefield. For example he had an incredibly intricate sword work sequence that he called "Happy little cloud" fashioned after his time in painting classes."-headcanon a dragon above you, via Yolindanne
