Biography
Yeah, for now her name is Newt. I don't even.
Newt is an interesting girl. The other Spirals in the clan, all of whom joined around the same time but definitely before her, wonder if maybe her head was stepped on as a new hatchling. She tends to fly backwards rather than forwards, she occasionally speaks in full, backwards sentences, and she is hyperactive to the max. Also known for being forgetful, a common speculation in the clan says that she woke up one day and forgot that she was an ice dragon, so she got up and left. No one is really sure if she even knows what clan she's in now. Oh well. She isn't particularly hard to talk to, and she likes to play games and race the other dragons—she is somehow the fastest dragon in the clan—so one really has any complaints about her.
While racing across the Nature territory, she happened on a bunch of leaves. They were kind of everywhere, and she wasn't sure why she was finding so many. She took them back to the clan to ask about them, and Kairavi told her they were a form of currency for the Greenskeeper Gathering, something the clan hadn't really planned on participating in. Wanting to know what she could possibly get for these leaves, she flew back to the Nature territory and found a shop, where a Mirror gave her four options. Right away she was going to pick a sash, but a Timber Tender intervened, reasoning with her. "Why buy a Nature sash? You are not a Nature dragon." He had a good point. She left without buying anything. The Tender was worried about the odd Spiral female, so when she came back the next day and the Mirror was away from the shop, he took his chance and said, "Here, why don't you set those leaves on the counter there, and I will accompany you back to your clan?" Newt thought that was an excellent idea, and she made the exchange and flew back, talking with him as she did so. Ultimately, it was the Tender who chose Newt, and not the other way around, because he felt the need to protect her. He is wary of the other clan members, particularly Jewel and the other massive dragons, but he is determined to keep her safe and happy.
Newt recently "adopted" a Ridgeback, Tenner. Newt carried him all over the territory and even beyond, not realizing that she is very difficult to follow in speech and thoughts and the like. Her Tender familiar feels a bit bad for the Tenner, even now after their adventures have ceased with the Ridgeback's maturity, but he also finds it endearing that he tolerates Newt's odd motherly ways.
