Biography
Hinoki was kind of an outcast among his fellow Wildclaws. Since he was very little, he'd always been more interested in gardening, painting, and other calmer, more creative activities.
His clanmates looked down on him for that, no matter how much they tried to turn him into a strong warrior or skilled hunter, Hinoki would always go back to his old ways, the ones that made him truly happy.
He was given the role of taking care of the gardens and making the lair more aesthetically pleasing, since he was of very low ranking.
But he still felt as if he didn't belong with his clanmates: their subtle rejections and disapproving looks didn't go unnoticed, so he decided to leave.
He traveled for months, looking for a place that felt right, meeting new dragons and making memories, but never staying in one place for more than a day, until he stumbled upon the Light-Walker Clan. It was small, with only a handful of members.
Urakaze, the leader, welcomed him with open wings, and offered him a place to stay for as long as he needed. Hinoki was taken aback by the fact that she was an ice dragon, leading a light elemental lair. Curious, he decided to stay for a few days.
Altough a bit timid at first, he quickly started to make friends with some of the other dragons, such as Furutaka, Shirane and Akitsushima.
He was surprised by the lack of fighting, as it was common among his fellow Wildclaws, and the fact that everyone seemed to be of equal rank, regardless of the role they played in the clan.
He expressed his wish to stay and offered to take care of the gardens as thanks for Urakaze's kindness.
As days went by, he became more sure that he'd finally found his place. For the first time in a long time, he felt at peace.
However, not everything was perfect. As much as he liked his new home and family, Hinoki still felt a bit lonely. There was no one to accompany him during his duties, no one to talk to about plants, nature, the colors of the world around them.
Not long after, Nashi was taken into the clan.
A young Fae that described herself as "not good at being a Fae", Hinoki and her felt connected almost instantly. They became best friends in record time. They spent time together every chance they got, and Nashi, making use of her knowledge as an earth dragon, helped him take his gardening abilities to a whole other level. They even made up their own language to use exclusively with eachother.
