Drake originated from Clan Morganite, but it didn't take long for he and his mate to decide as a breeding pair with certain genes and colors, they ought to find a flight with a better matching eye color for their offspring. Their original plan was to either travel to the Sunbeam Ruins or the Tangled Wood, whichever they stumbled upon first, and of course it ended up being the latter. They were delighted that soon after they found Clan Hellgondo, a clan that partially specialized in breeding for profit, where they felt right at home. Drake purchased a pink and purple flair scarf upon arriving from the nearest market, as he wanted something to indicate a connection in both their hearts and their fields of work between himself and Lavina. He also took her feathered wings and attached them to his own, as even though she kept the scarf that she had owned since she was a child, she wanted to try a new style in this new clan as well.

Drake decided to serve as the clan's hatchling caretaker upon seeing that there was none, and that dragons were burdened with watching over their children until they had grown. He had a knack for watching over the little ones until they were old enough to fend for themselves until sold, or just waiting until even newborns were sent to their new homes. He loved filling their heads with wondrous stories and excitement on how because they were so perfectly gened and colored, they would go to good homes that would love them considering how much they would spend, and that perhaps one day they do would become a part of a profitable breeding pair. He has grown so fond of his job that he has a tendency to get jealous when mothers sometimes want to take care of their clutches personally, but this is quickly eased by his mate, though he still isn't happy about it.
