Born deaf, Clouse was raised to communicate through multiple written languages, as well as how to read the body language of others, though his understanding of the latter is quite limited outside of imperials and pearlcatchers.
He's a very chill guy, but displays a very mischievous side, especially around newcomers and strangers. Given that it's not immediately obvious that he can't hear, it's not unusual for others to talk at him and become decently confused as to why he's not responding... not that it really helps if one can get his attention, because Clouse has a bit of a sense of humour about it- sometimes pretending he understands what another dragon is saying... well, until they realize something ain't right or Clouse decides to stop pulling their tails.
He hangs out with Nyx most of the time, but is not opposed to commuting with other dragons around the area.

Unbeknownst to him, there's a running joke of calling him a teal deer.
