Ashes

Abducted by a Plague clan when he was a young hatchling to fight in their war, Ashes spent his early days in fear. As a young adult, Ashes fled during one war, taking that small window of opportunity to return to his home-lair, risking execution for abandoning his post. However, when he finally found his home-lair, he realized they had either been destroyed or moved. Lonely and defeated, Ashes wandered Arcane territory believing he would soon die alone, of a broken heart. Luckily, Vixen's Clan found him and took him in. Over time, he became less afraid of the world and distraught about his past, and more thankful for what he had now: a family, a mate, and a home.

Since living in Vixen's Clan, he has relaxed a lot, but still remains vigilant and wary. He doesn't socialize much with other dragons, despite the gentle urging of his mate, Soot. Instead, he spends most of his free time around her, watching her in her trade (blacksmithing). He's very fascinated, not by her trade, but by her never-ending passion for it. Seeing her absolute joy and interest in it is intriguing to him. She about loses herself in it. She's inspiring. But also a part of him worries about her. She's always so distracted. If danger were to come upon them, she probably would not notice it. Luckily, they are a part of a good clan that will defend each other so he knows she'll always be safe, and probably will never have to endure what he had to. All in all, he loves and respects her and loves being there for her in any way she needs.
