Skrift joined the Archivists after hearing of their impressive collection; he brought with him a small collection of his own collected tomes and items from the Southern Icefields. While he highly values the work done in the Archives and Matijas dedication to their collection, he is not the biggest fan of his own work. Skrift works as a scribe in the clan, but much to his chagrin, not the lead scribe. He works under the fae Hale, it is quite frustrating really. Any chance he gets he tries to grab some tomes that need to be copied or restored from the collectors before the little fae can get his claws on it. Hale seems quite unaware of the others frustration and is pleased his assistant is so eager to complete his work. His often off-putting lack of emotion stands in stark contrast to Hales overemotional tendencies. Skrift has a secondary duty as well, he keeps the Archives cool to be sure the tomes and artifacts remain undamaged by mold or the heat of Dragonhome. He found his familiar nesting in the thriller section, he has spoken to Matija more than once about this pest problem but it seems there is nothing to be done, normally he would just freeze any unwanted pests, but the little prickly rodent avoided that fate and spends most of it's days napping in the skydancers woolly coat. He is most frequently found, when not working, in horror section, he especially enjoys suspenseful and psychological terrors. Due to his constant use of his powers his wings and hide are often covered in crystals of ice. Because of this minor affliction, he is often quite cold throughout the day, wearing a coat of wool constantly. His biggest relief comes in the night, when he meets with his mate Cecylia to cuddle up in her warmer coat. As a tundra from the Icefields as well, her coat is quite full. His crystalline coating and equally frosty mannerisms melt off at night while he laments his frustrations to his mate, and reads her tales from the library at her behest. |
