He/him pronouns Once seen zipping through the skies of the clan's territory as an energetic spirit, Dáithí is now almost entirely unseen, sleeping in the outskirts and meditating in their darkness. He spent a long time held down by the weight of the poignancy plaguing his own mind, isolating himself, trying to find a way to shed that weight and the chains that held him, waiting to become his "old self" again. After all that time, however, he has begun to understand that some things just can't be left behind. With this in mind. he began, instead, to try and find a way to carry on, to flow with the currents however slowly to make his way somewhere, no matter how near or far. He can be found in the furthest reaches outwards of the Chasm, bordering on neighbouring territory and nomanslands, and found he has been. Though they will forever remain in the confines of his mind and the mind of the ones he's spoken to, he has had conversations with those wandering close to the edge of the territory lost, and broken, and feeling meaningless, about the heart and its wants, and the soul and its needs. While those who considered leaving won't ever mention that they tried to, the ones who spoke to Dáithí know that on the day they spoke to him, they were listened to, they were known, they were understood, and were able to return back to everyday life like a fresh sunny day after a long storm - not guaranteed to be meaningful or even a good day, but one where things can return to normal, and where one can begin to carry on. These dragons he's met occasionally stop to think about him and if he's doing ok himself, but Dáithí has found peace in this transient state, acting as a light in the dark both for others like him, and himself. A light may be inherently neutral, not good or bad, but in the dark it shows that someone else is in there with you, and that's what matters. |
