g BIOGRAPHY At the time of hatching, there was no one around him, to watch over and fawn over him. He awoke to the sight of charred ground, tucked deep inside a cavern, where only slithers of the most torrentuous blizzards could reach. The young hatchling, noticing the absence of life about him, began to wail for his mother. When his throat went raw, and when nobody approached nor replied apart from the whistling breeze, he knew there was no one who would come to his aid. Fortunately, his instinct for survival was powerful, and mustering up the courage of his little body, he marched on his wobbly hands and feet to the open mouth of his nest. By him, he could make out fractured eggs, the shells shattered to fragments, some charred like the surfaces surrounding him. A bubble of fear rose within his chest, yet the child carried on for his first glance of the world outside. Yet there was nothing to be seen; biting cold winds whipped at his body, the unrelenting snow painting the world before him in a hazed white. With a loud gulp, the young child began his journey to nowhere - hoping to find someone who could perhaps shelter him, love him. With hopes alone, the hatchling wandered for days, not knowing his directions. Just walking, walking. Several times, he found himself buried under the piling snow, from those that fell from the sky and those that collapsed beneath his feet. ═ g RELATIONSHIPS ▸ from his moment of rebirth, yoon has taken the role of his father, and has even to this day. there's nobody opheos loves more than his adoptive father. there were no secrets between them, and nothing to hide. yoon had revealed the truth very early on in his life of their relation, but as yoon had quoted from his parents: family didn't begin with blood. should there ever be any reason to, opheos would willingly give his life up for his father - hell, he'd do it for anyone. ▸ over the time eridian had become a member of the crimson crown, the dark dragon had eventually come to consider opheos as his own. at first, opheos thinks it probably has to do with how smitten the guy is with his dear father, but gradually, eridian began to show genuine care and affection for the tiny fae, and opheos in turn began to think that, perhaps, eridian could be a father too, despite his unruly personality. ▸ ophaelie's appearance had been an utter shock g TRIVIA ▸ trivia ▸ ... ▸ ...Maecenas nec commodo eros. Years ago, Opheos was hatched alone in a raging cold storm, up in a cave somewhere among the mountains of the Fortress of Ends. There had been nothing about him, he found as he gained sight, but the cooled, almost-frozen charred wood only feet from where he stood, blinking curiously about the darkened, lifeless cave. As a hatchling, he fortunately had a strong instinct for survival. He cried for help, shrieking and wailing until his throat was raw, and when that failed, young Opheos left the den. He fought against the raging winds that threatened to pick him up and toss him across Sornieth. But he never gave in. In fact, he had been thrown up by the wind several times, yet he continued on and persevered. Eventually he found himself collapsed with hunger and thirst, adrenaline wearing out. Opheos collapsed only feet from where he could tell the wind was calmer. And with one final gaze across the white winds, the world went black. As it turned out, he had been frozen over by the bitter cold, as he woke up years later to the cracking of ice. He took on the same form of an imperial hatchling, his mentality still young and curious. Especially of the awe-stricken, faraway looks on the faces of these stranger-dragons. He was approached then by a dark dragon specked with royal purple gems, who had what looked like tears in his eyes despite his smile. It's only years later Opheos learned the truth of those looks. Of his similarities to the first Alphess and founder of the Guild. Ophaelie, who had passed on only years ago. ________________________________________ |
