Biography



Cairnestone and GladeLord looked at their hatchlings. One was a male Snapper, one was a female Imperial. Both of them were exactly the sort of dragons that their clan’s ruler Arkar would want to exalt, the boy so his great size and strength could serve the Gladekeeper, and the girl so that her magic could do the same. Cairnestone was sad that another nest would go to the Gladekeeper, and she still had no daughters or granddaughters to keep her company. GladeLord, who had been a gift to the clan from the Gladekeeper when they exalted their 50th dragon, saw this, and found a solution. He told his children that one of them would get to be exalted, and one of them would go to server the Gladekeeper outside of the lair. The Imperial girl eagerly volunteered to go serve beside her goddess, the boy wanted to see the world. Cairnestone smiled in approval. Her son would see the world as she had done when she was young, and then find a clan to live in and serve as an ambassador, as she did now. Holding her son in her giant paws she saw that he was the same color as the massive tree under which they stood, and she named him Behemoth.

Arkar approved of GladeLord’s decision, and set about looking for a new clan for the young Snapper. She approached several wind and shadow clans, but none of them had room for him. Eager to see more of the world than just the places Arkar approved of Behemoth snuck off on his own to see other areas. When he reached the Sunbeam Ruins, it was love at first sight. The warm days were perfect for a tree like dragon to grow in and the ruins remind him of the stories his mother had told him of the ruins she was named after. This he decided, was where he wanted to make his home, there was so much he could learn about the history of this place, and so much he could teach them about the forests to the north.
