The role of Shadow Representative used to belong to only Rune. However, Rune has found he doesn’t have the time to balance both the duties of a representative, and his scholarly studies of anything related to the Tangled Wood. Instead of giving it up entirely like Mystogan did, however; he decided to share the responsibilities with Umbriel and Verigost. While Umbriel embodies the secret and mysterious nature of shadow dragons, Verigost embodies the more game-loving trickster side. They are almost like Rune’s shadows…

Umbriel is cold and silent, preferring to quietly lurk rather than actively engage in anything involving other dragons. He has been testing the effects of arcane energies on Moonglow Bramblethorns. The more successful result is semi-sentient thorns that he is currently training to attack intruders, and is petitioning the clan higher-ups to place them around the lair perimeters.

His strong affinity with shadow magic, and tenacious curiosity and ambition has allowed him to easily rocket into a high status within the lair as both a flight rep, and member of the Court of Shadows; although some say its likely so that its easier to keep an eye on him and his power. His magical potential has Riandria, Kamali, and Pharius very interested in his potential. Umbriel is fairly aware of this, and uses this favour to his advantage.
