Fafnir is a hot headed ambitious dragon theres nothing more he wants than to be the best- and theres nothing he wont do to get there. Fafnir has often been chastised for his quick to violence nature, and he doesn't get a long with the former alpha Nightfury at all.

Personality

Half of the clan reveres Fafnir for his strength and willingness to do what needs to be done. hes a very quick to violence "if its in my way I destroy it" kind of dragon, which is why the other half of the clan is afraid of him. He is very smug, ambitious, and entitled and this gets him in trouble quite often with the elders and the former alpha Nightfury.

Personal past

Growing up Fafnir and Toothless were the best of friends. They shared everything, including the same hatchday. They were very close and always had each other's backs until they started to grow older. Fafnir is the son of the alpha before Nightfury (Odin) and strived to be the clan's next leader. However his ambition and aggression caused Nightfury to turn away from him as a candidate, afraid he'd start another war just because he had the power to.

It angered Fafnir to see that his best friend, a dragon he felt he was better than, was chosen before him. Fafnir felt like despite the fact that Toothless was just as great a warrior as him, he didn't deserve it. he was to "soft" in personality and wouldn't be able to do what needs to be done in order to make the night watch clan the most powerful clan in the world.

This hatred towards the newest alpha caused them to drift apart, Fafnir puts on a good show at pretending to be every bit the friend he used to be to Toothless, but deep down? He wishes he was dead.
