Biography
Gil

Something wasn't quite right about this tundra. He shared the gentle nature and soft countenance of his brethren. Yet, at moments, his friendly nature would slip, exposing his cold, calculating personality. Maybe these moments reflected his time of being raised under Icewarden's icy gaze. Or perhaps, he was born without any warmth at all, and he had to struggle to achieve the Lightweaver's presence to feel any warmth at all. The shade visited him, one night. The wind screamed across the frozen landscape and whipped angrily, tearing into any dragon who dared challenge the storm. His days were listless, empty, staring at the snow building up around his clan. His clanmates, accustomed to the frigid temperatures, had been unprepared for the monster who had concealed himself with it. All that remained was Gil, and the broken bodies that stained the snow crimson. Out of the storm the gigantic form of the deity who reigned over the icy realm loomed. Without any real effort, Icewarden had lifted the monster to his lips and exhaled. Ice crackled and formed around the monster. It's screaming was cut short.
Interesting.
Icewarden examined the creature. He set it down, it's form indiscernible in its new icy prison. The Icewarden glanced down at Gil, who felt terror threatening to swallow him up.
I should kill you for viewing me, but it is you who has attracted this monster's attention. I will spare your meaningless life, but you must leave my realm. You are too weak to survive in my domain. Begone.
With those words still shaking in the air, causing the storm to flare up even more, he is gone. The monster with him. Gil could only stare, words escape him. Finally he shakes himself. With one final glance at his fallen clan-mates, already almost completely encompassed with snow, he departs. He journeys to the realm of Lady Lightweaver's. For surely, no shade-possessed monsters will dwell in the land completely encompassed in light. Heh. |
