Borealis | The Magician

Borealis is the palace magician/mage. He's the one who created the barrier around the palace to keep it warm and safe from harsh storms. Outside of the barrier is cold and barren, so most dragons live within it. But because he created and maintains the barrier, he can't travel far from the palace grounds. Otherwise, the barrier will weaken and possibly break. He's currently training an apprentice to pass on his knowledge to and to help carry the burden. He's not the only magic user in the Sweet Kingdom, but he is the most powerful.

He's a bit of a grump and kind of quiet and standoffish, but it's not that he means to be. He's just been so buried in his research that he's forgotten how to be social which results in his being awkward when speaking to most people.

He has a sweet tooth that he hides pretty well most of the time, though he was once caught eating a slice of cake out of the fridge in the middle of the night by the palace baker BirthdayCake and now he gets to taste test new desserts in secret. Turns out that baking and alchemy aren't really all that different!

He's one of ChoccyChip's.... "fathers". The other being his best friend BirthdayCake. Borealis once stored an unlabeled, recycled bottle of a potion he was working on in the fridge of the bakery since it was the closest place to cool it slowly. Well, BirthdayCake accidentally used some mistaking it as cream and the result was their sweet and chilly ChoccyChip. Oops.
