Viola
➳ Founder/ Queen▲ Empathetic, Intelligent, Generous ▲
Viola -violet Married to Piccolo Adoptive mother of- Juliana , Rena , and Hugo Bio - Viola knew she loved piccolo from the first moment she met him. But neither of them felt as if they fit well within their current clans, so they decided to run away together, and start their own clan. They found a lovely spot in the sundial terrace and before long they had convinced a few dragons from neighboring clans to join them there. After a few new additions to their little misfit family, viola and piccolo decided that it was time to start a real family of their own. their first nest had 3 eggs. And they were overjoyed! They both took turns incubating and guarding the nest. All was well- untill the night before their eggs were to hatch. Viola slept inside the nest, curled around her eggs, keeping them warm while Piccolo was on guard. When she woke, she was in the nest alone and her eggs were nowhere to be found. She immediately called for Piccolo, but when he didn't answer, she began to panic and run around the nesting grounds, frantically searching for her mate and their eggs. In the nest which was furthest from the one she had been sleeping in, she found him. Piccolo was fast asleep. He had some sort of dark haze around his eyes. And though she yelled and screamed at him to wake up, he would not wake. So Viola picked up Piccolo's limp form and carried him to the nearest clan where she hoped their healer could help. Aiglentina was a great help. She explained to Viola that Piccolo was under a simple sleeping potion. And that sleeping potions were sometimes used by scavengers so they could safely steal eggs from their parents. She waved some smelling salts in front of his nose and Piccolo sprang to life again. He ran hysterically and thrashed about in the room, knocking over several knick knacks and glass vials, which went crashing to the floor. It was 5 minutes before Viola was able to calm him down enough to explain what had happened and how he had gotten there. Their eggs had been stolen from them. They thanked aiglentina for her help, helped her clean up the mess in her apothecary and went back home to grieve. And weeks went by, but the hurt didn't go away. Piccolo and Viola couldn't accept that their eggs were gone. They thought that if they could track down the thieves that they would be able to find their hatchlings and bring them back to the clan. They investigated for months. Then one night, Viola woke to the sound of rusling. It was scavengers, walking through their camp. She woke piccolo and together they followed the thieves for several months, making camp just outside of the scavengers' camps. until they reached the temple at the Beacon of the radiant eye. That's when they realized that the scavengers had been offering eggs to the lightweaver. Viola hated the thought of her hatchlings having been forced into exaltation. But she knew that that was surely what happened. And any dragon who has been exalted and offered up to work for the lightweaver, could not leave the temple at the beacon of the radiant eye. It was only then that she could accept what had truly happened to her hatchlings. She and Piccalo kept to the shadows and watched as the scavengers took 3 eggs from their packs and put them in the offering pile. One light egg, Shadow egg, and one plague egg. All the while the thieves were muttering about how much treasure the lightweaver would award them with. As if those eggs were worth nothing more than a few thousand gold coins. Viola and Piccolo glanced at each other, both dragons clearly thinking the same thing. They stole our eggs, now lets steal theirs. We can't let the same thing happen to those hatchlings. and so, while the scavengers made camp for the night, they devised a plan. And their plan worked swimmingly. They stole those 3 eggs back from the offering pile and made off with them. They journeyed on for months, trying to find the clans that those eggs belonged to. But no clan would claim them and so, Viola and Piccolo finally decided to keep the eggs and raise them as their own. Although they knew that those eggs could never replace the ones that were taken from them. A year and a half had gone by, and by the time they made it back to their clan, they had found that it had grown exponentially. It was much different from the tiny clan that they had started all those months ago. There were over a hundred dragons! Viola and piccolo only knew a handful of them, but those that they knew welcomed them back with open arms. And they were pleased to see that Aiglentina had joined the clan. They found that all of their things were still inside their old camp. Raina and Nadira wouldn't allow anyone to move them. Raina had long prophesied that the founders would return, and so their things mustn't be touched. Nadira was the dragon who took over as leader when Viola and Piccolo left. She kept the clan going, got more dragons to join, trained them in battle and made them strong. And for that, Viola and Piccolo were forever greatful. |

art with her old colors:
Dragon review by Amorah
Her bio was very well written, it really displayed their personalities as well as their feelings. It was both sweet and sad, they both shared the duty of incubating! You'd think that's a mother-only job, but it really shows their love. Parenting is all about partner work and commitment, and they were ready. Hearing them lose their hatchlings was heartbreaking, but at least they were able to rescue 3 eggs. This was a good way to explain the Unnamed hatchlings.
Her apparel and accent really expresses her warmth and kindness, as well as her colors. Her Honey Shimmer radiates rays of happiness, and the Raspberry + Sanguine gives her that sweet look.
I love the spread of color, by that I mean the colors are very balanced. The lace spreads both the Primary and Tertiary colors, and the accent spreads that gold color. The accent really looks nice against the pink-ish colors.
