Takakia

Like her father, Glowworm, Takakia looks after the creatures who pass through or live within Sunbeam Grotto. She hosts a small ranch on the shore-side edge of the Viridan Forest, allowing an intersection of sea, sky, and forest in which a great number of animals can feel at home. Takakia carries in her pouches all sorts of treats and munchies her wards may find appetizing, and she always has at least one animal hitching a ride on her back or even atop her head! Her passion wasn't always in caring for other creatures - in fact, Takakia only recently returned home to the clan by chance after a lifetime of nomadic travel through Sornieth. Both she and her father have undergone a drastic improvement in health and attitude since their reunion, so it made sense Takakia would join in Glowworm's work to allow them to spend more time together. She insisted upon the "apprentice" title for a good amount of time, but it's clear by now that Takakia has integrated all the knowledge Glowworm has passed down and a little extra she's learned by way of her worldly travels. Plus a little something more on top of that - Takakia possesses the rare ability to "read" a dragon's companion by way of the Sight, assessing its unmet needs and its level of affection for its dragon counterpart.

Name: Riverlurk
How they came to be with your dragon: It was previously dwelling at the base of the waterfall; Takakia would visit to clean the area of debris, oftentimes tossing a little dried fish from her pack to the lounging creature. Eventually, Riverlurk discovered Takakia had even more snacks to share at her little hut by the beach, and since then it's been a solid fixture in the area. Animal Companion: Brightwing Dwarf Hainu

How they came to be with your dragon: A parrot with a broken wing was hastily surrendered to Martha while she was stuck behind her stall at Churnscar Wharf; the previous owner raced off to catch a departing ship before Martha had a chance to ask any questions. She bandaged the crooked wing carefully with a cut from a spare bolt of canvas, and put up with the bird's indignant squawks until the sun began to set.
