B I O G R A P H Y

Heliodor was the original clan leader, the progenitor before the clan became what it was. His thirst for knowledge and understanding, unrivalled in the clan, lead to him go on a pilgrimage to study the Lightweaver and her loyal subjects. At that time, he was still a Guardian and his charge Tourmalina was conflicted on whether she wished to journey with him. He had persuaded her that it was a once in a lifetime opportunity and that they would both grow from it. He had left the clan in the capable hands of Olwen and prayed that their clan would thrive.

Many moons had passed when two Guardians staggered into Clan Ridgeside’s lair, the scouting dragons did not recognise them and called for Olwen. She appeared not long after, instantly recognising her predecessor. He smiled at the younger dragon and pulled out a scroll. He muttered a few words and with a glimmer of light, the yellow scaled dragon became a Ridgeback. He stretched out his new form, now standing taller than Olwen and he laughed wholeheartedly. She greeted him with open arms, smiling warmly as she always did, but he noticed it didn’t quite reach her eyes. He introduced the clan to Akua, formerly known as Tourmalina, his oldest companion, her scales had grown a different shade over their journey, almost unrecognisable to her previous duller colouring.

After his return, he quizzed the clan members on everything that had happened since his departure, meeting new clan members, reminiscing with older friends, slowly climatizing to the new surroundings in Carrion Canyon. Though he had told Olwen he was not interested in his previous role back, he kept a close eye on her. He began working as a peacekeeper and ambassador for the clan, whether it be with other clans or attempting to work alongside the Beastclans.

His travels brought him into the path of a scavenger by the name of Nashi. He bantered with her, tried to make her laugh with his terrible puns and even suggested many times that she should come and meet his clan. Through many occasions of her finding a way out of it, she eventually agreed to visit Clan Ridgeside and somehow never left. The two often worked together as she would find many old books on numerous topics for him whilst scavenging and he would travel the world, something she had always enjoyed doing.
