Biography
The morning just began and Polaris was already up. The leader stood at the edge of the cave, staring off into the distance and watching the sun rise. Polaris stood quietly as the sun slowly rose into the sky.
The silence didn't last for long before Polaris turned around, heading back into the cave and looking at her mate. Polarlicht was sleeping peacefully, as was the rest of the clan. Only Polaris was ever up at this hour, planning out the day. It was a leader's job after all. In her head, she was already planning out all the groups. Who was going on patrol, who was going gathering, and who was guarding the cave while she was away.
A few hours later, the rest of the clan began to wake up. Polarlicht was one of the first to wake up. The Skydancer stretched his wings, moving slowly towards Polaris and brushing up against her wing as he stood guard with her. Polaris growled quietly, nuzzling him back as the two stared at the sun in the distance. Her mind wandered back to the day she met Polarlicht and how their life began.
Although quiet, Polaris is a leader at heart. When she was only a hatchling, she dreamed of leading her own clan. But others laughed at her, said she didn't even have the qualities of a leader. However, Polaris ignored them. She stayed and studied by herself, watching her own clan leader carefully. Eventually, once she grew up into a fine young dragon, she left her previous clan and moved on to begin her own.
Things weren't great at first. It took a while for Polaris to find even one dragon to begin a clan. However, as time slowly passed, one dragon after the other started to join. They claimed their territory and land, and the clan of five or six dragons settled down into a place they called home.
After the clan was established, Polaris earned her rightful spot as leader. It wasn't long after Polaris was titled leader that a mysterious Skydancer wandered into the land. Polarlicht was injured at the time and limped onto Polaris' territory. He stared at her in fear at first, terrified that he would be attacked. But instead, he was hurried to the healer.
Polaris visited Polarlicht each day to make sure he was healing. In that time, the two dragons began to learn more about each other. Once Polarlicht was fully healed, he was offered a spot within the clan. He humbly accepted and had been at her side ever since.
The wind blew through the cave and Polaris looked at Polarlicht, who had a gentle smile on his face. She smiled softly and nodded, turning around to face the group of dragons who were eagerly awaiting her orders.
