Wren's first memories of her birth are hazy. All she knows for certain was a large, blue tinged shadow walked over her, more of the giant being's blood falling into the giant puddle of the red stuff she was floundering in. Her gaze was tinged red, as the blood had gotten in her eyes before she knew to shut them, stinging a bit. Blinking furiously, Wren tried to clear it from her vision, and succeeded slightly, seeing the technicolor that was the world. The stimulation blinded her a bit, and she turned away to see a large blue tail slipping into a huge lake.

Feeling an overwhelming urge to follow the hulking blue gilled dragon, Wren paddled sluggishly towards the slight edge she could see. Her nose peeked upward, just above the blood. It was to thick to breathe with her gills. Reaching the side of the puddle facing the lake, Wren climbed up, her small hatchling claws sinking into the soft earth. Walking to the edge of the lake, Wren thrust her head in, peering around.
It was a whole new world. It was dark, but light, the sunlight streaming through the waters making it easy to see things. But, as you went deeper, things got darker. More sinister. Sliding her small length into the cool waters, Wren pumped her wings for the first time, propelling herself forward into her new life. She found an underwater complex of caves, and decided to make herself at home, since there wasn't any other dragons living there. The only things she had for company were a few fish.. So, she grew up in a secluded cave, while the rest of the lake was getting busier and busier. Though everyone steered clear of the cave systems, as they sensed something sinister within. Wren discovered a little ways down the line of her long life that she had a small... Anger problem.

She found out the hard way, in the form of her first murder. She had made quite a few friends in the watery depth of her cave, the majority being fish. But, she did have one, a familiar that was with her always. He was one of the rare and almost extinct Loga species, and they had figured out a way to have conversation everyday. One day, while they were taking a rare swim outside the cave, they were attacked by a clan that wanted to take over the cave systems, as they had access to the surface from them. They killed Wren’s Loga in the fight, and in doing so unleashed a part of her that no one had seen previously.

wE2acjN.jpg Wren is actually quite old. She may not look it, but she has lived for longer than most dragons that she knows. There are a few older than her, but she rarely meets them. The few left over from the first lairs downfall were all older than her, but not by much. Though they are older, they still consider her to be above them and their leader. Everyone respects and loves Wren. It may be partly because when she does do the initial ritual to be welcomed into the clan, she shares a bit of herself with them. Little bits of her memories. She cant really control which ones they click with, but the ritual seems to pick the one that makes the other dragon understand her the best and feel the most at home.

The downfall of her first clan is a thing that still haunts her mind constantly and from that day on she has been paranoid and overprotective. The clan fell from a blood disease sent from another clan to wipe them all out. Wren didn't realize until it was to late to remove their blood from the clans supply. Wren was able to save a few of the clan, the ones with the deepest bonds with her. But the others all died a slow horrible death. Wren never found out which clan attacked her old one, but she now probes the new strange dragons that come in thoroughly. There will never be another tragedy like the last.

Blood Power

She is able to create blood packs with other dragons, connecting them and getting a bit of their emotion and general location. Since she is the originator of the contract she can focus and get exact info if its needed, but it will usually spiral her out of control emotionally for awhile. The longest has been 3 moon cycles. She tuned in to one of her old clan mates as they met their demise and it broke her. The chatter is like muffled radio static in the back of her mind. She can choose to tune it out if she likes. In the beginning it was very hard to control and tune things out, but she is much older and more experienced now. She has the most control over blood in the clan, as she originated from it. She can control about as much blood as in a guardian, but it takes great concentration and usually sends her into a spiral soon after. She only uses her powers to their full extent if she needs them to save a life. After her initial touch of the strange blood, her age was frozen to that of a hatchling about to age over to an adult. She has a complex over how big she is. She can also freeze a dragon to a certain age, or age them. But this usually takes a very long time and is a ritual of sorts for her. It cannot be reversed. Most dragons choose when they would like to be frozen, but sometimes Wren must do it to save a life if they are near death.
