Alder is originally from the Sunbeam Ruins, where she met Ash, her closest companion and partner. Together, they founded the Sunspire Guild, a clan of knowledge-seekers in the Light territory. The Guild prospered under their guidance, and soon became known for its scholars and historians.

Alder was the foundation the Guild was built on, the leader and backbone of their family. Not a day went by without her planning and working on ways to improve the clan in some way. As a leader and researcher, Alder devoted herself to leading the clan; but as their guild grew, she realized her clanmates could stand on their own, and felt it was time to move on.

Bidding farewell to the Sunspire Guild, Alder and Ash opened up a new chapter in their story. She felt the call lead her to a new land: to the north, through rushing rivers and lush jungles. She understood where her next journey would lead her.

Leader, explorer, scholar, warrior: Alder has held many titles through her life. Above all else, however, she considered herself a seeker; Alder wanted knowledge and experience in equal measure. With the Gladekeeper's blessing, she and Ash took new names and started a new journey in the Viridian Labyrinth. Along with this decision came a realization: the search for knowledge was not limited to contemplating life in an ivory tower; knowledge meant experiencing all the wonders that Sornieth had to offer.

She and Ash ventured forth into the Viridian Labyrinth. Over time, Alder's appearance changed to better fit her new environment: her steely hide shifted to the color of tree bark, and her red wings turned the shade of fallen leaves. Though her elemental allegiance has changed, her love of history certainly has not. There is living history to be found in the Wilds, and Alder is eager to experience it all.
