Here she is, scarred warrior of the Locking Boughs Clan, founder and Matriarch, governing over at least fifteen other dragons that depend on her guidance to find safety and shelter. She has gone from the unsure young leader she was at the beginning, allowing a loose cohort of dragons to shelter under her wing, which became fractured when tensions rose and threatened to destroy everything. Long has she seen the destruction and reformation of her Clan as they move from one place to another--growing and shrinking, only to rise up and grow again.

With years of experience underneath her, this stalwart leader, softened only to her current mate, Citrine, and even then, not by much, remains a trusted leader and adviser. As power shifts from her to the younger generation, Mordaine is content to step back and fly at the vanguard, large wings shadowing the young from view as she keeps an eye out for threats, carrying her trusty familiar on her back.
