A Reluctant Matriarch

The wandering witchy woman who resisted Houngan's charm for ages before finally deciding to settle down with his clan. The two are capable of spellwork stronger than most can imagine when they combine their forces, but instead they seem to prefer working their juju solo.

Mysty still isn't certain what initially attracted her to the small, ash-ridden clearing where Houngan was beginning to dig the clan's den, but the curiosity of why a Tundra would choose to call the Ashfall Waste home was what brought her to the ground alongside him. She had previously been a nomad, traveling all across Sornieth to see what the world had to offer and collecting various spells and knowledge before returning to the fiery landscape from whence she'd originally come.

And now she was helping some poor, misguided soul carve out a den for a not-yet-formed clan in a land she wasn't sure he'd be able to survive. Then again, she'd had little trouble adjusting to the icy climate she'd spent the past few months in before returning home; maybe this newcomer had a stronger spirit than she credited him for. Or maybe he was just crazy.

Regardless, she was a dragon with no clan or home, so the offer to settle in with him for a few nights wasn't one she would readily turn down. Those few nights turned into weeks, then months, and soon she found herself the Matriarch of the strangest clan she could have imagined - Houngan's charm attracted all sorts of wandering souls looking for a place to call home, from shamans to feral dragons to spirit guardians and almost everything in between.

Soon she too fell to his charm, becoming the adoptive mother of his newborn daughters Mojo and Cheval and eventually accepting his romantic advances towards her. After all, if he was powerful enough to keep his clan together and successful, he must have something going for him.
