For months April agonized as she watched Valen easily find his role within the clan. She has not his tinkering skill, nor his strength. While she could assist with documentation, it just wasn't fulfilling. Quietly, she sought a more meaningful role, confiding her worries only to her mate, who could do nothing but encourage her from the side.

April and Valen have known the clan since its early sproutling stage back in Nature, but had to go their separate ways when they wanted to do some research in the Arcane libraries. It must have been the Gladekeeper's will to have them return to join the clan now in the floating isle. In reflection of these early years, April found herself the ideal dragon to document the events that have happened to Clan. Thus, April became Clan Tillandsia's chief (and only) historian. Not only does she document major events, but she also pays careful attention to alliances. Such observation has led her to be important counsel when the progenitors need to deal with tricky border issues. Aside from her historical duties, she also enjoys publishing a monthly newsletter informing the residents of curious events and local interests. She often enjoys visiting different areas of the isle and reports her discoveries. She will quite happily travel alone or with a familiar while Valen stays cooped up in his workshop tinkering with some new gizmo he's unearthed from the ruins below.

April and Valen used to belong to Barnac, who was my wonderful and unofficial mentor in Nature flight. (My original mentor was .. often not present.) I would have left the game if it weren't for them.
