Sucarr

Two Mirrors and a Ridgeback creep across the fleshy grounds of the wandering contagion. The Mirrors are low enough to the ground to stay mostly hidden - if anyone could guess, the Ridgeback had probably come along for protection.

"Land of Clan Auxhemo," one of the Mirrors hiss. "A clan full of terrors, if you ask me. I don't like this mission," the other responds.

The Ridgeback's spines raise completely. She was young, and hadn't visited the Plague lands very often. She would rather be home.

One of the Mirrors suddenly stops moving, shouting "WAIT!!" It's too late by then, his companion had already moved too far ahead. Though Mirrors could see in heat and light, they missed the red fright laying hidden beneath mounds of the fleshy ground - the first Mirror only realized too late when had stepped on her wing and she had begun to move. With a roar, she flings the Mirror off of her wing and snaps up the other; the poor fool had been right in front of her face.

The two foreign dragons look on in horror as the crimson Ridgeback swallows their companion.

"Come to raid my clan? COME FOR US?" she shouts. The other Ridgeback snaps out of her shock, and shoots an elemental attack just as Sucarr comes racing towards her. Sucarr leans to the side, slowed only by a bit when the attack hits her between her wing and her side. She tackles the other female and lashes her tail out at the Mirror.

The Mirror lets out a yelp when he's speared on her tail. She flings him off and sends him sailing.

Both of the females wrestle for a moment, long talons flashing in the dull light. But Sucarr is older, and bigger, and more experienced than the other Ridgeback, and she pins her down on her stomach. With her belly well away from the others' spines and her feet planted firmly on the membranes of the other female's wings, she laughs. "You are weak. Your clan did not send the right dragons to raid us."

There's a scream as Sucarr tears her talons through the other female's wing membranes, rending them useless. She spreads her own wings and leaps off of her. "Take that as a message to your clan, if your wounds can survive the trip through our blessed lands."
