Philia was the first of many hatchlings that Agape and Eron welcomed into their home. Having spent much of his childhood struggling to survive without a clan in the Wastes, he was an unusually serious and practical hatchling. When Agape offered him a place to stay the night and a free meal, he immediately decided to do whatever he could to stay with her. He threw himself at any task that he thought needed to be done, and Agape couldn't bring herself to make him leave, though she did make sure to teach him to stop 'cleaning up' her projects.
Philia had the largest role in the formation of Clan Aestra-Svi, as he actively tried to convince any clanless who Agape took in to stay permanently without her knowledge or permission. Often, upon noticing that a hatchling was staying longer than a single night, Agape would gruffly ask the hatchling if they didn't feel like moving on already, and Philia would quickly intercept the 'newest member' and explain to them that Agape wasn't the best at communicating and really didn't mind them staying. Agape, regardless of how she felt, never could bright herself to confront Philia about his underhanded approach and the issue still leads to some awkwardness between the two of them. Philia still believes that Agape was being selfish by turning hatchlings away, and Agape, though she's beginning to accept that she actually likes being in a clan, still resents Philia for going about it all in such an underhanded way.

Philia currently acts as the clan's A'Lianos, which is the position of 'second in command'. In many ways, Philia leads the clan as Agape doesn't exactly intervene in day-to-day clan affairs unless something is seriously wrong. Philia takes his role seriously, and his performance as leader is deeply tied to his self-worth. Some part of him believes that he alone is responsible for holding the clan together, and when something goes wrong or during the few times when someone wrests control away from him he's been known to suffer panic attacks and will often go off alone so no one will see or doubt his ability to lead.
As Philia was the one who encouraged most of the first generation to join the clan, the oldest dragons of the clan are fiercely loyal to him, though many of them know him too well to be able to turn a bling eye to his faults. Even among the younger dragons, he is typically well liked as he has a soft spot for hatchlings and teaching things. He is considered one of the strongest fighters in the clan and it's not uncommon for less experienced dragons to grill him for tips.
His position as A'Lianos is currently at risk, mostly from the youngest dragons, as the clan has now had to relocate because of Unity twice. Despite Philia's skill as a fighter, he never believed that the clan should become more militarized, and his decision to avoid militarization since the clan began to live in wind has thrown a lot of doubt on his ability to lead practically. Unfortunately, this has only led to the young dragon becoming more unsure of himself and he still believes that his performance as leader will make or break the clan. As a result, he works himself nearly to death every night training and developing plans to defeat the old enemy, despite Agape's assurances that the Lightweaver will protect the clan.
