Clan Elder She had been born here. Well, that wasn't entirely true. Back in the Age of Old, when her clan was still new and under the reign of the Progenitors, they roamed the skies and plains of the Windswept Plateau. She had been born there, of the second clutch of her parents. She always thought she might venture away from the clan once she grew up, spread her wings, explore the world. But she never did. After the First Age the Clan eventually moved on from the Plateau and travelled to the Tangled Wood. She wasn't sure at the time why they made the change, she was still quite young and unaware. But she remembered feeling more comfortable and at home in the safety of the shadows. They were mysterious, comforting and a bit magical. She doesn't remember when she specifically started feeling the presence, it had always just been there, growing stronger as time went on. The sensation has evolved into something akin to a sixth sense, and she now serves as an Oracle to the clan, providing council, insight and wisdom to those who seek it. Over the years she developed a precognitive ability that allows her to get a sense of what the future holds for the clan. Sometimes she shares, other times she keeps it to herself. However, she's never turned down a curious mind, and will gladly share her visions with anyone who may come and inquire. She usually keeps to herself, but recently she has caught the eye of a mysterious Guardian in the clan... And try as she might she has found herself growing fond of him. He was quiet, mostly keeping to the shadows, yet he was also an old soul, and of the Wind Flight, just like she was. She felt drawn to him, she felt a kinship. No one really knew how he came to be a part of this clan, but she felt that he felt the same as her: more at home in the shadows, comfortable, relaxed. He liked to avoid the spotlight and just - be. Their old souls liked the peace and quiet. The pair grew closer together, immensely enjoying each other's company. She loved their shared interests and life experiences, and he loved her company and unique wisdom. They were a story for the ages - old souls and young love. |
