Hyacinthe quickly glanced around, making sure no one was watching. Learning that he was alone in the peaceful forest, he put his nose to the ground and started sniffing. After a few moments, he caught a whiff of some delicious berries. He followed the scent and discovered a blackberry bush hidden in the roots of an old tree. He gathered enough for his clan, stuffed a claw-full into his mouth, and headed back to the lair. Just before leaving the forest and going into view of the lair, Hyacinthe paused and tidied himself up; cleaning off the mud from his feet and what was left of his left fore-leg, and checking his hair. He always had to look the best for his clan.
