Gnome is a Nocturne of little words, in fact, no one has ever heard her speak. No matter what may be asked, she usually just responds with nods, shrugs, or shakes of her head. It is stated by her companion Sylph that she is merely shy, and thus will not speak willingly, though many still believe her to be mute. She tends to be the most respected out of the mages, though it unknown as to why considering she says nothing. What is noted of her when she is not required to go on outings to aid her clanmates is she is seen playing with the newborn hatchlings, which can sometimes annoy Drake, but she does it with every clutch that eventually he just accepted it as ritual. She seems to carry an air of loneliness that she seems to mollify whenever she plays with the new children, but it returns whenever they are sold off and sent away to their new homes.

The dragon who Gnome seems to have a strong allure for is the explosives expert Aiden. Whenever he goes out into an empty clearing to test his bombs and the like, Gnome would shyly watch him from the safety of the undergrowth, however one day the Wildclaw seemed to notice her presence and invited her to take a closer look. She timidly nodded and ever since it has been ritual for her to go follow him into the forest when she isn't requested to go on outings. In fact, she goes on most of her outings with Aiden, as after their first attempt, it was revealed that they had the most compatibility with each other. Despite the closer friendship they have formed, Gnome from time to time will avoid him, as though she has no proof, she fears Scarlet might feel a bit jealous, and try to scare her off for trying to "steal her mate," but nothing of the sort has happened outside of the Nocturne's internal fears.
