Matriarch
Mate: Kvothe
Joined clan by: Auctioned as adult
Alliance: Clan, Nature
Daisy is an Amazonian among dragons. She takes pride in her femininity, adorning herself with flowers, but her chief love is battle. She spends much of her time in the coliseum, and recently helped train over sixty dragons on their way to the Glademother.
Daisy was, from her first day in the lair (initially Nature flight), the chief warrior. She trained with the clan's first true matriarch, Vitoreva, along with Ardath, the Patriarch's mate. Her skill in battle, knack for diplomacy, and passion for growing the clan earned her a great deal of respect. She even got a custom accent. Eventually, Vitoreva stepped down in order to join the Glademother, electing Daisy as her replacement.
Daisy served as the unflinching matriarch for a year and a half, training every dragon to come through the lair, with the notable exception of Merope, who was initially intent on usurping Daisy. However, Merope learned that Daisy's role was earned through more than just battle-wisdom, and realized she did not have the strength of will to combat the Amazonian matriarch.
Daisy got badly injured by a Stone Borer while training exaltees during the Riot of Rot (she kept it busy while her team fled). Worse still, the wound got infected. Ardath, the clan's healer, was initially unsure whether Daisy would survive. When the worst had passed, Ciraharit approached her, not for the first time, with a proposal to spend time with another flight. Weakened and wary of the clan's safety, Daisy reluctantly agreed to pass control of the clan to Ciraharit.
After the move, it became clear that, while she would not die from her wounds, she was permanently weakened. After long discussion with Ardath, she searched for a worthy replacement and found the young Nocturne Gwenora. Ardath and Daisy are keeping plans quiet, but Gwenora and her chosen mate Alasdair are being groomed to replace Daisy and Ardath respectively as Matriarch and chief healer.
Daisy stepped down as Matriarch on the first day of Spring 2016. With Gwenora, Ardath, and Niccolo in charge, she felt as though a huge weight had fallen from her shoulders. She stayed on to advise the new leaders and fulfill lesser leadership roles in the rest of the clan. She also stayed on to help train the next levelers.
Scattered 1/28/2017. Was Leaf/Pink/Blue, changed to Purple/Spearmint/Driftwood. SO HAPPY!
