Alru was quite content in Wind, learning the art of the blacksmiths in the area. However, all of that changed when a small Ridgeback stopped in the territory briefly. Amongst a few other trinkets, she managed to steal his heart. When she went to move on, he followed her without hesitation. He figured that his skills as a smith would help him find a place to settle in whenever Saradne decided to settle, or it would help him provide for them with a bit more honesty than her ways would.

Luck was on their side when they came across a clan in Lightning who were in need of someone with enough metal working skills to help with a new member of their clan who'd been badly injured. Using some armor, Alru worked a pair of new legs up. Proud of himself and curious as to what else he could do if he set his mind to it, he convinced Saradne that they should settle down.

A dragon of few words, when he does speak up, he generally commands a pretty attentive audience. He delights in spreading his love of his craft and loves to explain the art to anyone who's interested.

Passion is one of the easiest things to define him by- his passion for his craft, his passion for Saradne, and his passion for the clan that took them in.

He can often be found working on special projects using trinkets that he's either been gifted by Saradne or requested that she bring home on her next pass through- her job as head scout lends itself well to her wanderlust and affords her many opportunities to help out with what her love finds so interesting.
