Biography

"super cool quote." — super cool person Mysterious, quiet, and rarely seen, Sunniva is by far one of the most strange dragons of the clan. Little is known by clanmates of the dragon, other than her close friendship with the clan's leader, Obsidian. For the rare few that do get to become acquainted with Sunniva, they know that she is typically a very calm, laid-back dragon. Towards clanmates, she is blunt and can seem rude, but she tries to refrain from being cruel, and even more, tries to avoid contact at all costs. Sunniva does that as she is extremely mistrusting and anxious towards others. Traumatized from her past, Sunniva copes with nightmares, which have led her to becoming an insomniac. Although she has learned to live with these problems, she often seeks distractions to make it through the nights. Often in daytime, she shuts out emotions completely and detaches herself from socialization. Because of Sunniva's emotionless state, she volunteered herself to Obsidian as an assassin. Coming from a well-adapted plague fight, Sunniva acquired many skills and has become a lethal, silent threat. Obsidian admired her skills and knew that her strengths were not one to be displayed publicly in an attempt to keep other clan's awareness of her abilities low. This is one reason why Sunniva typically tends to keep to herself. As an assassin, often times Sunniva is out completing assignments. In order to keep surrounding territory safe, Obsidian sends Sunniva out to track down nearby threats and eliminate them. The entire process is kept top secret from nearly the entire clan in order to keep things running peacefully. During these journeys, Sunniva often collects artifacts from the fallen as a memoir of their lives. She has grown into a habit of doing this, and now hoards many trinkets from her missions. As an assassin, Sunniva has adapted many skills, and is possibly an even bigger threat than Obsidian. |
Originally born into the life of a loner, Sunniva and her siblings were born in the plague flight, knowing only each other and their parents. Her parents taught her the importance of survival, living in a flight filled with savage, blood-thirsty dragons. Sunniva's parents wanted their children to grow and start a clan together, taking in the many abandoned dragons of plague clans and rescue those from the evils of others. They recognized the horrors of their clan and knew that in order to survive, they needed to train their children into becoming as strong and intelligent as possible. With only the entertainment and socialization of each other, Sunniva and her siblings grew extremely close to each other and learned to work as one. This went on for some time, once in a while assisting lost hatchlings and bringing them back to their families, and finding dying dragons and letting them pass comfortably. Sunniva knew the life of a plague dragon, the suffering, the horrors that other could commit. Up until now, however, she had never truly experienced what a clan dragon lives through.
That day her family was going through their usual routine, roaming the world of plague in search of helping others. Sunniva and her siblings were still young, and often ran ahead of one another. Sunniva and her brother at the time were having a race of sorts, chasing one another, when Sunniva tripped, landing in front of a large, sleeping guardian. Frozen by shock of seeing a large dragon that wasn't dead, she stood for a second, glaring at the beast. Immediately, her brother nabbed her ear and tugged her away, and they quickly ran to their parents. Upon bringing them the news of spotting another dragon, it was obvious something was wrong. Her parents exhibited an emotion that they had never seen before, and this brought fear to all of them. "Do not fly", they were told, "Under no circumstances." Their tones seemed so ghoulish, the children didn't speak, and they roamed silently, this time staying close to their parents. "We are in a trap right now, this is a common trap clans set", they spoke, continuing to lead the children, "...they will lead you directly into their territory.. some sort of bait to lure you closer... kill you, sometimes with no other reason than just to kill" Sunniva was completely unaware of how experienced her parents must have been with clans up until that point, and was a little angered by the fact her parents lived the life of a clan and yet forced them into the life of a loner, always struggling to survive. Still, she followed her parents silently with her siblings, for what seemed like many hours. "I think we are out of the clan's territory", her mother spoke with heavy relief.
Just as the words breathed out, however, glowing red eyes could be seen completely surrounding them. The last word Sunniva heard her father say was "Run", and not a second later, large dragons leapt on her family, and then all Sunniva saw was blood. Sunniva stood with horror, and once more, her brother tugged her back into reality. She felt her legs moving, yet her mind seemed lost, she ran alongside her brother helplessly, and she didn't allow herself to stop running. Her eyes raced wildly, and her heart wanted her to run back to her family, yet she continued to move with her brother, tears unknowingly leaving her eyes. After a moment, she looked to her brother whose pace continued to slow "Keep going," he breathed, his voice weakening, and it was then she realized he was injured. Just as she noticed that, he stumbled, rolling to a halt. Sunniva quickly ran and grabbed her brother, dragging him as he did to her so many times. "Come on!" she cried tearfully, "We need to go!" He panted, looking at Sunniva, "It's okay, keep running." As he said that, he stood, facing the opposite direction. "Keep running, I'll lead them off your trail!" Sunniva froze, her heart shattering, "No!" she cried, begging for him to stay. "It's okay," he smiled, shoving her to keep running, "It's okay."
