Lineage

Biography

Resident Healer-in-training, Montague is unfortunately left with learning to heal on his own, as the clan lacks any real doctors. He is friendly and gentle with his patients, but sometimes they misunderstand his directions due to misinterpreting his humming.

The only dragon, besides the other Coatls, who has no problems with understanding him is Hikuliak. They are intimately close, and care deeply about each other, but have made no official agreement to being in a relationship. Montague extends his compassion to the fullest when it comes to the Tundra dragon, and is constantly showering him with affection.

Despite his gentleness, Montague has no patience for other dragons when they frustrate him. As a Healer, he demands that his patients do everything he asks and is known to get annoyed when they fail to comply with his questions or disobey his orders. The dragons of the Realm of the Corvidae know that when Montague gets mad, it's time to sit down and shut up. However, the older and higher-ranking dragons are rather stern with him about this when he gets mad outside of his profession.

Coming from the Water Flight, the Coatl joined with the Realm of the Corvidae and the Ice Flight during the Wavecrest Saturnalia after meeting Hikuliak and being absolutely smitten with him. He liked his old flight, but never grew entirely attached to it. Upon arriving in the frosty lands of the Ice Flight, he knew he was home.

Montague often looks to Psionic, the priest, for guidance. The wise old mage always has a good word of advice for him, and has become like a second father. They spend time together, mostly on Sundays, discussing magicks and the ways of healing. The young Coatl learns more from his elder than any other dragon in the Clan.

Despite his love of his Clan, Montague deeply mistrusts Monster. He says it's because of his meanness and the cruel Clan of his origin, but truthfully he is jealous of the Mirror. Envious of the time he spends with Hikuliak, Montague is afraid Monster will steal his love away from him. As such, a great deal of pain is known to be seen in his eyes when he watches the two friends go off on a journey together, even though he knows Hikuliak would never betray him.
