Biography
Robotics Engineer | Innovations Inc. Relentless Optimism |
Statistics STR CON DEX INT WIS CHA |
A robotic chime dings happily as Helen swipes her I.D. card into its slot. Another day at Innovations Inc. How wonderful! Philemon and Ross pass by, each dragon balancing a massive stack of papers in their arms. Helen quickly rushes over to balance a haphazard manila envelope on top of Ross's stack. "Good morning, boys! Another lovely day in the labs today, yes?" Ross grunts in reply. Poor kid, his stack must be very heavy. "Helen, Lear wanted to see you in his office." "Oh? What for?" "Beats me. Good luck up there." It was no secret around Innovations that a meeting with Lear usually spelled a long, tedious day of catching up on all the paperwork he loves to neglect. It must be her turn for the office work dump now. No matter, this was a perfect chance to test out her latest invention. "I'll be fine. You guys take care too!" She called, before bounding away to Lear's office, double time. The walls of the Innovations were pristine, sleek, modern. The height of technology. Helen loved the air in the building, the electricity of new ideas just waiting to be discovered. That anticipation, that wonder, all in such an enclosed, comforting space. She counted her lucky stars every single day she steps foot into this building, ready to work towards her life's dream. She finds Lear seated primly at his desk, his face uncharacteristically grim. There was not a single piece of paperwork in sight. Most curious. "Helen. Something concerning has happened at the Opera House yesterday." "Yes, I heard. Well, that's not gonna stop me from doing my best!" Lear nodded, "Also...Timon gave me the all clear. It's time." Helen gasped. This was not happening, no way. All her years of hard work, the fruit of her labors, the planning, the pleading, the nights spent by the workshop table. It was all coming together. Her Magnus Opus. Her life's work. It was really happening. "You don't mean..." "Yes, I do." "Menelaus." "Let's do our best today, too!" |
