Born in the Tsunami flats with his sister, Astara, Sangar's mother saw her twin guardian children and knew her brood could never be content to remain in the Sea of a Thousand Currents. When they came of age to begin their Search, she followed, and it was together that they came upon the Southern Icefield, where Quara's growing clan now remains.

As hatchlings Sangar and Astara had always made their promises to remain close even once they'd found their charges, sometimes going so far as to assure one another -- with the conviction only a guardian hatchling could have -- that they knew they'd be one another's charge. When they came of age they agreed that they would begin their Search together, only parting when the Search finally called them in differing directions.

Sangar could not have been more pleased when their Search led them, together, to the land that would become known as Stillsandur.
