Considers Quara his charge. Though father to very few of her many children, he protects her brood with the same tireless conviction as his loyalty to her.

The loss of two of Quara's earliest hatchlings is something he views as a personal failing; in spite of his own non-relation to the hatchlings, the children of Quara's own flesh and blood are as dear to him as any of his own. Though he's always been a stoic and indomitable guardian, he has become increasingly reticent since being faced with the stark reality that he cannot have eyes and ears on everything at once, an imposing protector to the rest of her growing clan.
