The little Wildclaw was thin and ragged, reeking of storm scent and covered in the dust of the wasteland when the scouts found the trio. She was undersized and malnourished and weary from years of wandering. But she was not afraid. Glaring out from under the Guardian’s shielding wing, she hissed and spat up at the strangers looming over them. And when it became clear the scouts meant to offer help and shelter, she was the first to step boldly forward and accept. She flew alongside the scouts without a trace of fear, teasing and reassuring her two companions and joking with the scouts as though she had known them all her life. Even in those first days among the clan, Veritas was always the boldest and liveliest of the trio.
When the time came for the three to find their place among the clan, it was clear from the start that Veritas was not daunted in the slightest by the hardships she had endured as a wanderer in the Shifting Expanse. She bounded up to her sparring partner, a dragon nearly twice her size, hurling playful insults, boasts, and challenges. She was just as ready to joke and jibe when, moments later, the amused dragon pinned her firmly beneath his paw. Minutes later she was back again, bold as ever and clamoring for another try. Veritas has grown into a formidable fighter and an unparalleled scout over the years, but her spirit is bright and joyous as ever. Working with her childhood companions Sota and Riku as a scout and trainer, she is always ready to share advice or to mentor with a clanmate in the sparring ring, and has grown to be a great favorite among the clan. When she settles down in the evening to share stories and old jokes with Sota and Riku, she is positively radiant, and it is impossible for any onlooker to watch without a smile on their face.
