It is a long and sordid story, and the less said about it the better. However, I will at least spare you this for an example. Perhaps, you have heard of the atrocities that may be committed by our very ken. Some may even say that there is no depth to the cruelty that we can bestow upon our fellow men, except for what we can imagine.

Indeed, one only has to look upon the fanatics that chuck their spawn into the Wyrmwound, reveling in the unpredictable and monstrous beings that form, or perhaps the dabbling in arcane arts most profane, which result in things that should not be. Even the deities themselves may fall to folly in the best of intentions. One only has to look to the very existence of Emperors to know the horrors that can result.

What if I told you, that there are those with no lack for imagination? That there existed creatures, old and profane, eldritch and powerful beyond measure. They bind themselves to no rules of the mere universe, for they stretch far beyond the boundaries of such, have existed for far, far longer than the birth and end of worlds vast.

They say that with strange aeons, even death may die, and they are correct. And now, tell me-- what restricts these creatures from doing what they wish? What could stop them from violating the morals of common decency that we hold so dear? The answer is nothing, nothing at all. What rules we know, they may break, for they had never perceived them to be in the first place.

Now, perhaps I will have to reveal the most horrifying revelation of all-- these creatures, they can get bored. They can get oh, so very restless. In the primordial soup of chaos, they have lived, and this structure, this regularity... it bores them. We are only so blessed that they have chosen not to linger.

They say Gods do not play dice, and for this, they are wrong. They are oh, so very wrong. Giggling with a thousand mouths, they throw.

I shall bring you back to the example of the Wyrmwound, It is merciful that corruptions spawned from the acrid pit are at least immediate, or visibly so. Mutations of the flesh are plain, are immediately repulsive, for we can identify such irregularities. They are not hidden to our sight, not hidden from us until it is too late-- far too late.

The result is yet to be fully unveiled, but it is certain. Like the spawn of the Shoggoth, it remains almost typical in form until it reaches maturity, and then things... start to happen.

Despite all this, Aleksei is a relatively genial dragon, enjoying the company of close friends as he works feverishly with the time he has left.

More specifically, it appears that he has taken quite a shine to the one called the Handyman of the Carlytes, noting most prominently that no one else had appeared concerned of the mercenary's well-being. Of those that did, they were too boisterous to approach, and unfortunately far too loud. By the time they had even begun to step into the same quadrant, the Mirror would have already slipped away. An approach would require careful planning, and much delicate handling.

Aleksei is not quite as skilled in the art of moving stealthily, but there is none that can still their presence quite as he can-- and he comes, of course, with items of worth to trade for the lone Handyman's time. The language of trade, is after all, one he does understand, although he may not quite grasp the reason behind it.

- instead of zalgo, just place a picture of an eye through parchment where it is atm. it makes for a starker contrast, or you could simply screen the entire bio in sections and alter it in photoshop in cascading pictures...

black inkcaps (dead skin sloughs off to form black-void-slime, spores also form. Great medium for summoning/etc for oracles, and also really good for drawing wards with/etc.)
