By twilight did she come and go.
The blazes of colour at eventide
accentuated the bright tones
that lay beneath her blossom-blessed garbs
soft and pale as foam.

With gentle bow
did she request room
for a few nights long.
One heralded by peace dove
is always to be welcomed.

The places she stepped
ever were tranquil
while she was present.

The tattooed guest
drew many a curious youth.
'Breeze or brook,
what is the meaning of your marks?
Why does the snow grace you so?'

She smiled
and let the questions flow
no belief confirmed or denied
Each came to their own answer
The truth? Only she would know.

A most magnificent sunset
lit the scene she departed
Presenting gratitude
to host,
she pronounced it
her time to go.

She took flight
with the sleepy moon
with wings destined to meet
the sky of rising night
