A loyal Escort, Tefnut takes her job as clan escort very seriously, making sure every visitor who visits the clan is well protected and watched after. Her size may fool you and give her a dainty demeanor but don't take her for granted, she has a ferocity that almost boils over in the hothead category. She is not one to joke and often is the dragon who can end a fight in a flash.
If a dragon is lucky enough to earn her trust and respect, such as family or friends, they tend to see her shining loyal side. She will go out of her way to protect those who are dear to her but even those that are close to her know that jokes are still off limits to her.

Being an Escort of the Sweeping Currents clan is a rather diligent job, Guests that visit the clan's territory have to be protected even more so than the clan members that live there, they wouldn't want their guests to get hurt during their stay. Another duty of the Escort services provided by the dragons like Tefnut are to make sure the visiting dragons do not cause chaos or try to hurt any other members of the clan. Territory take over is still a risk other neighboring clans pose as more and more clans attempt to acquire territory where ever they can. Having a quick thinking and acting escort who is willing to lay down their lives for the good of the clan is a must in the escorts. Odd jobs taken on by escorts can include duties such as introducing outsiders hatchlings and integrating them into the clan or nest protection.

Tefnut was adopted as a hatchling from a clan in the Starfell Isles, Her parents had traveled all the way to the Viridian Labyrinth and hatched her and her siblings there. From there her journey started when she was adopted by the Sweeping currents clan, her brother however wouldn't let her leave alone and joined in. When she arrived she was taken under Sonia's wing and was taught about the workings of the clan and how to grow up into a fine young dragon, her brother was taken under by Sonia's mate Geoff, therefore separating the siblings teachings but not their contact with each other. She grew under Sonia's guidance and when she was grown and shaped into a formidable young adult she took on the position of an escort.
She was tasked with many dragon's safety and keeping a watchful eye on others, her task was heavily tested by Tidelord when the clan adopted and brought home a prince from a respectable clan to act as an ambassador of goodwill between them and the other clan. She protected him but let Ishimaru, the founding clan member, teach the young Nero how to fight, act, and grow. As Nero and his interests grew, Tefnut found the lusty Nocturne pining for more of her attention. Most of his courting attempts ending up in nothing more than a quick scrap and hiss from Tefnut, who wanted non of his cocky immature courting attempts.
One evening of escorting a stray, unaligned dragon who had come in for a bit of safety and food the large ridgeback attacked Tefnut in a rather strange courting-like behavior that became aggressive instantly. Nero however was near her at the time, ready to make a final attempt at courting the escort when he saw the fight break out. The nocturne made a weak attempt at fighting the larger assailant but the surprise of the second fighter scared the ridgeback and allowed Tefnut to retaliate to the fullest extent of her abilities and chase the stray dragon out the territory along with Nero's help.
After everything died down and Tefnut and Nero calmed, Nero shakily tried to court her with a beautiful necklace with a shard of his chunky crystals embedded in it. She laughed for the very first time, this pathetic attempt from this regal and tough prince was too much for her to stay stoic. She accepted him and his courtship gift and now the two are inseparable.
To this day she still takes her job seriously even against Nero's constant begging for her to take a break. She can usually be seen perched in a prime watching position near many of the main buildings and nests, she shares a nest in the matriarchal building with her mate, the prince and hopes to one day go back with him to his home territory and meet his parents.
