Despite being part of the rebel gang, Blainn prefers to keep eir distance from all the fighting the majority of the group likes to spend their time doing. E's not made for that kind of thing. Instead, e uses eir smarts and charms to support the group financially.

Blainn is an accomplished con artist. Not sneaky enough for pickpocketing, e has found ways to just make other dragons hand em their money. Dressing up as a mysterious fortuneteller, e prowls the shady parts of larger towns, looking for easy marks and offering to predict their futures. Exceptionally skilled at reading people, e always knows exactly what eir targets need to hear. Looking omninous, peering into a glass sphere and mumbling a cryptic riddle is usually all that's needed, and then e can quickly vanish with the treasure before anyone has time to really think about what it was e said.

It's a rare occasion for Blainn to come across a dragon e can't swindle, but that's precisely what led em to meeting Ingrid. Blainn was pulling off eir hustle at a dingy tavern in Murkbarrow close as usual, when eir eye caught a young fae walking in. Miscalculating eir chances, e tried to offer her a glance at her future. Ingrid, having just ran away from her impending fate and having no interest in anyone else trying to dictate it for her, quickly gave em the what for about destinies and premonitions and got em to buy her a drink instead. Flustered, Blainn ordered one for each of them and sat down to meet eir future girlfriend.

Blainn has a better relationship with Ingrid's parents than she does. The charming little scoundrel can put on an act and a face to make anyone like em. Baldur tolerates em being around, Isla actually sort of likes em and hopes e would be a good influence on her daughter. If only they knew.
