After the creator and clan mother stepped down, Rahziel, the one and true blood heir rose to power. But it wasn’t just an empty claim. Rahz fought tooth and claw to protect his family, friends and those who find themselves sheltered within the clans walls. It didn’t take long for his title to be spoken with respect, and his lordship approved.
The clan prospered in the firelands for a long time, growing in power and wealth. But not everyone was happy. A young Skydancer, Thranduil, quickly gained favor among the hearts of the clan and soon, Rahziel found his title threatened. He eventually found his influence so dwindled that the clan moved to the naturelands, a decision born solely of Thranduil and his supporters.

After the move, favor was divided and two factions were born; Rahziel being the leader of one, and Thranduil of the other.

Even now, tensions are high as Rahz butts heads with the stubborn and fiery skydancer. Clan members constantly gossip about who should and will end up on top. Rahziel with his powerful and proud bloodline; or Thranduil, graceful and sharp witted. In the end…it could be anyone’s game.

In his downtime, Rahziel trains clan members to better themselves in the field. He is a dog of war, strong and powerful. He proudly displays the scars he’s gained over the years protecting his friends and family.

Dropping to his knees beside the still form of his fallen son, Rahz pulled the thin Skydancer into his arms. “Thirial…” He whispered, emotion and tears choking up his voice. The young dragon had been so full of life, willing to learn and full of fire and passion like his father. In a different life, the place of clan leader may have fallen to him one day….
But not anymore….

“Rahziel, my son.” The voice was like a growl through the tree’s, quickly drawing the wildclaws attention away from the still form in his arms.

“Obareon.” Rahz growled back, voice mimicking the hatred and anger. “Did you do this!?” He gently lowered the skydancer to the ground, fiery eyes scanning the trees for the source of his fathers voice.

The laugh that echoed through the trees didn’t so much hold humor than it did triumph and insanity. “Of course I did. One less heir to a throne that belongs to me. One death in a string of many more.”

Rising to his feet, Rahz grit his teeth as his sorrow quickly turned into rage. Finally spotting the second set of glowing orange eyes in the dark of the forest, the wildclaw stepped over his son’s body towards them. “There is a lot that I can forgive.” His own gravelly voice was low, dangerous. “But not this. You will pay….dearly….for this…”

Lowing his hand to his sword, the clan leader drew it and was moving in the same motion. But as soon as he moved, the dark form of the guardian turned to flee.

“Coward!!” Rahz barely made it ten steps in pursuit before someone stepped in his way. A skydancer, thin and with pale skin and hair which contrasted starkly with his rich red uniform. Surprise managed to slip through the wildclaws rage and sorrow as he was forced to come to a halt.

“I won’t let that happen, I’m sorry.” The newcomers voice was calm, subdued even as he placed his hand on his own sword.

“Let me through. This business is between me and him.” Rahz took a step towards the smaller dragon dangerously but the skydancer didn’t give any ground or even seem afraid.

“My task is to protect my king.” The skydancer drew his sword calmly, correctly anticipating the attack that was about to come. Not moments later, Rahziel’s blade met his own.

Using his agility and size to his advantage the skydancer let the weight of Rahziel’s sword glance past his own blade instead of trying to halt it. Using the chance, he side stepped, spinning around to the wildclaws right while in the same movement readjusting his blade. He nearly scored a deep shot into Rahz’ side but the clan leader had anticipated the blow. Again their swords met.

The two spared like this for another few moments. Considering the opponents weight and size differences, the two were fairly matched; each a master in their own respect.

The sound of approaching feet was what turned the tide.

“Algos!” Rahz called for his friend’s attention while deflecting a slash aimed at his arm.

The ridgeback studied the scene for a moment, calculating exactly what had happened and the best action to take before he too drew his weapon.

“Take over for me.” Rahz addressed the ridgeback but didn’t dare take his eyes off his opponent. “I’m going after my father.”

“I won’t allow that.” Again, the pale skydancer backpedaled, huffing a breath and raising his sword towards not one but now two opponents. Being a ridgeback, Algos was more than a foot taller than him and probably doubled his weight, while the width of Rahz’ shoulders was twice his. But still….win or lose the small general would remain to finish the fight.

“Who are you?” It was Algos who spoke, eying down the Skydancer in red.

“Harry; general to the shade-touched king. You will have to go through me to get to him.”

“Is that what he’s calling himself now..” Rahziel growled, fire burning in his eyes. “I will cut you in half to get to him.” He was moving before he even finished the sentence. But this time, Algos was by his side, the two of them moving together with the ease that came with practice.

To his credit, Harry kept up with both of his opponents blades. Except the difference was unlike with only one opponent, the skydancer was now completely on the defensive. After a few minutes, a blade nicked his shoulder and a few moments after that, again across his cheek.

Slipping past Algos’s weapon, Harry managed to drag his sword across the armored side but payed for it with a slash across his own back from Rahz. Staggering slightly, the smaller dragon felt the long braid his hair had been in unravel.

The battle didn’t last much longer before his sword was knocked clear out of his hand. Stumbling back, and out of breath, the skydancer barely processed his next move before the fist connected with his face.

Stepping forward aggressively, Rahziel caught the general by a fist of white hair and brought a hard knee into his face. Anger still not satiated, he then slammed the skydancer into a tree, watching with narrowed eyes when Harry finally slipped, bloodied to the ground.

Huffing an angry breath, Rahz finally took a step back, running his hand back through his jet black hair as he calmed his fire. It was all he could do not to step forward and run the skydancer through with his weapon so, to avoid temptation, he sheathed it.

“Rahz…” Algos spoke quietly, watching his friend and leader with a furrowed brow. “Thirial?” When the wildclaw cast his eyes down and shook his head, the ridgeback frowned, biting his lip. “I’m so sorry…”

“Someone is going to be sorry…” Rahz’s voice was quiet, a low dangerous growl as he turned his eyes back on Harry who was struggling to get up. “And for the lack of my father’s presence…” The wildclaw pushed the skydancer back to the ground with a heavy boot. “His general will have to do.”
