Leader of the Clan of Timber Dusk

Since his mother was exalted to serve the Icewarden, and his father faded from his life, Grumbles left the Southern Icefield and any memory of it behind him. He began anew in the dank, darkness of the Tangled Wood. He never had intentions to start a clan, or even join one. But he quickly found himself surrounded by dragons who had little to give but their own company. He sensed disarray in them, and subconsciously, began to lead. He brought them to clearer rivers, taught them where the fruit grows, and never let them feel that they didn't have a home. Over the years, he has been criticized. He sometimes ignores some of his members entirely, including nomads who've wandered in. But it's of his own strategy, so that helpless dragons can find through perseverance their own strengths to survive, and become vital members of this ragtag group. He's proven time and time again that no obstacle or adversary will get in his way, making him the strong foundation that will forever hold them together.

The group itself, the Clan of Timber Dusk, is named affectionately after how others view his spirit; that of an old man, grumbling to himself about cutting down pesky trees at the peak of morning when sun has yet to touch the sky.
