Funeral arrangements are an important part of any clan, as Ingrid can attest to. Dragons generally choose the eternal service of the gods over death from old age, but other creatures don't have that option and Ingrid has sent off many a beloved familiar. She also reads wills and comforts the loved ones of deceased individuals, gently encouraging them to grieve and then move on. Ingrid has also been requested to use her prowess in preservation magic for taxidermy, something she's grown increasingly fascinated with.

Ingrid cuts a fine figure as she glides through the Manor, but dragons are often too intimidated by her unyielding demeanour and coldly polite smiles to approach her. Her love of the macabre doesn't help, either - no one really likes to think about death, especially the Imperials of the clan. However, Ingrid's intentions are always honourable, and she is passionate about justice and ethics. Her knack for cutting directly to the root of an issue is good for problem-solving and getting around emotional baggage, but she finds it difficult to get along with the more sensitive members of the clan.

Other flights are generally a bit more lenient towards dull Coatls than the Ashfall Wastes, and dullness is a far cry from pale sickliness, but Ingrid still felt like an outsider amidst her colourful brethren. She was especially nervous about her colours when meeting Kunlun, since everything about him screamed traditionalist Fire Coatl. Indeed, it took some time before he completely understood that her faded colours did not indicate poor health or bad luck, but after he realized she wasn't suffering or in pain and she realised he wasn't as judgemental as she feared, the two of them became close friends.

Ingrid is proud of her looks and morbid personality, and will not tolerate anyone who can't accept her as she is. She never thought she'd bond with a Coatl as blatantly conformist as Kunlun, but after they both taught each other a little about not judging by appearances, Ingrid accepted him and now can't imagine why she ever had doubts. While many clan members are wary of her, those that she does get along with are very close friends - especially Nirvana who shares her misleading appearance and love of the grotesque, and the clan doctors who know her talents are an invaluable part of the clan's success.
