Growing up under traditional Nature Flight druidism, Naranj left his clan when he came of age to live in the wild for a year and thus became even more attuned to the world around him. He still loves to hunt and explore with his Owlcat at his side, and knows a great many tricks to both surviving in the Shrieking Wilds and using natural remedies to treat illness and injury. He fell in with Sideris-on-Riverbank once their numbers more than doubled thanks to the merging of the clans, and their territory finally drew his curiosity from across the waters of the Gladeveins.

Constantin was interested in him, as Naranj's rougher appearance and interesting background set him apart from the handful of refined dragons that the host club already employed. He proved to be surprisingly charismatic, with a troublemaking side as he loves to play pranks, tell jokes, and cause harmless trouble for his fellow hosts and even their clients. He ended up enjoying his trial period with the club, and came on as a full-time host.

Naranj shares Trace's bawdier sense of humor. As the two naturally became good friends, some animosity developed on Saturran's part. Comfortable with being Trace's best friend for all of their lives, to the point of being practically adopted siblings, Saturran became a bit jealous of Naranj's closeness to her. Naranj seems oblivious to this, but several other clanmates gossip about it behind their backs and Trace is certainly aware herself.
