As a a hatchling, he had the misfortune of running across a rampaiging plague dragon when he was alone; too young to properly defend himself, he was badly wounded and his left arm had be bitten clean off before others of the clan arrived to aid him. Ever since he has dedicated himself to the art of the Spearmen, and has learned how to maneuver and fight on his hind legs and has worked tirelessly to balance out the flaw of having only 1 arm. A Light Sprite name Astrid has take the duty upon herself to be his second arm when it comes to smaller, everyday tasks and aiding him in putting on his armor each morning. The two have formed an unbreakable bond. He is a fierce protector of the clan, but is, outside of combat, very awkward. The extra time he put into learning to be a warrior to counter his 'disability' has taken time away from socializing with other dragons. Because of this he is often nervous and hesitant around others. He cares little about his appearance and can look quite intimidating on first impression... or on multiple impressions. He has slowly gotten better at communicating properly with others, he still stammers from time to time, but doesn't become uncomfortable in social situations anymore unless his personal space is unexpectedly breached. His closest friend in the clan is Ailen. Tyr feels he can talk to the larger Imperial about everything, well- except maybe combat, Ailen being a notorious wimp and all. Ailen has worked with him in getting him more comfortable speaking with others, and Tyr can always count on his friend to be loud and dramatic enough to cast a nice shadow for him to hide in when he needs attention pulled away from himself. He has strong feelings for Ailen and wouldn't know what to do without him in his life. Icnoyotl and a young Imperial named Kamili have helped show him that not all Plague dragons are blood-thirsty and aggressive, even tho Icnoyotl is still prone to picking fights with people for fun, but his fear has not been alleviated. He is still on edge being near plague dragons from outside the clan. |
