Elation is a sight to behold for newcomers- a small and tattered creature whom much larger dragons defer to readily. She's got a sharp tongue and sharp eye for criticism, leading many of the younger dragons to view her like a crotchety but much loved grandmother (though she isn't actually very old to anyone but a child's standards). Much of the reverence comes from her abilities- just about no one in the clan knows their way around a dragon's body better than she does or has half the skill in healing life-threatening wounds. Despite a fae's relatively low breath reserves she's nearly tireless in her efforts- thanks to her peculiar brand of magic that can combine the healing arts with the leaching abilities of some plague dragons. Elle can drain the breath required for spellwork form the reserves or even body of her patients, allowing her to close wounds far larger than herself by making use of the same energy the patient would have used to heal the wound in normal time. Of course, some dragons are concerned that she could theoretically sap strength from clanmates for more sinister purposes, but most aren't bold enough to state their concerns aloud. For her part Elation has never been known to try anything suspicious and its theorized that the parts of her magic responsible for healing and leaching are too closely intertwined to use one without the other. But who knows?

History:
-Elation’s mother was unable to care for her brood, but cared deeply for her children, and as such was desperate to find a safe foster home for Elle. When she stumbled upon Aural playing with thn infant Celeste and Shu she decided he must be a responsible parent and begged him to take in her daughter. Aural wasn’t exactly looking for more hatchlings, but as he would soon learn, he really couldn’t say no to a dragon in need.

-And so Aural introduces Elation to the rest of their small family that night, but neglects to prepare Rhea for the details beforehand, having forgotten that his mate feared plague dragons after traumatic experiences with the flight in her youth. Poor Elle feels repressed from the moment her new clan sees her eyes, and spends the rest of her childhood feeling like she had to prove herself. The fae self-consciously covers her eyes with spare cloth, and slips away to hunt and fight every chance she gets, only to come back bearing painful wounds. The clan tries to discourage from hurting herself so, but Elle is stubborn, and returns after every recovery, determined to feel useful. Finally a young Guardian takes a different approach, following her and supporting her in battle. Elle tries to shake him off like she had everyone else, but the earth dragon is as stubborn as she had been. Before long a friendship starts to develop between them, the guardian insisting that she shouldn`t hide her pretty eyes so much, that there was nothing to be ashamed of.

-Thereafter Elle hunted regularly hunting alongside the guardian, Junco, and his new mate, and began to test her long-ignored magic. She quickly discovered her healing abilities and devoured every book her clan could provide her on draconic anatomy and the healing branch of magic. Her life had entered a new stage, though still wears a headband over her face, now more out of habit than anything else.

-Her first real test came when Conifer was found by the clan, weak and carrying grievous wounds. Elle didn't think she would know where to begin with a dragon so much larger than herself, but Con recovered, and her abilities only grew from there. The fae became a master at her trade through innate skill and adaptability, but more importantly bullheaded determination that took on every problem head on as though it were hers alone. Eventually she dropped out of regular hunting to run the healing ward of an increasingly larger clan.

Elle is among the dragons that Aural and Rhea go to as an unofficial council, and she has taken up several apprentices within the clan, with varying success. Her adopted daughter (Elle wouldn't let anyone else adopt the abandoned plague egg they found, seeing the creature as kin) assists her where she is able, but Elle keeps her away from patients as the plague mirror`s efforts at healing are often counterproductive.
