Taffy is arguably the greatest swimmer in Roots' Reaches. At the very least,
she's the best at fishing and will gladly take on any other creature she comes across while taking a dive. In fact, Taffy frequently picks fights with toridae and wrestles them for their chew toys. Even though she has no use for the boots and other gnawed items in question, she has amassed an impressive stockpile of toridae treasures. Many of them are set out neatly on shelves carved out of the cave wall where she lives with her mate, Brennen.
Like most mirrors, Taffy's had a hard time staying in one place for very long
and she and Brennen regularly travel all parts of Sorneith. Though the clan has a couple of resident mapmakers (BitterWind and Aria), Brennen and Taffy like to merely travel wherever the sky, sea, or land takes them. They're sometimes gone for long periods of time and any nests they lay are usually overseen by den parents until the hatclings leave for their permanent homes.
The pair always find their way back to Roots' Reaches, however, and spend
most of their time at home in their cave, or on the beach at the edge of the Tangled Wood. The chilly waters there are perfect for Taffy to swim in, and Brennen enjoys building bonfires along the shore. Though he doesn't like swimming himself, he likes watching Taffy, and she almost always catches them something tasty to eat while they share the firelight and evening together.
