Part III – Naraku no hana ga saku

Accidentally summoned by that absent-minded youth, hell princess was forced to find her own place in the Tangled Wood. Gloomy silence was piercing her ears. Her poor vision was not used to the darkness, thus she spent long and arduous hours on groping in the dark. Her name was Mahiro.

`Wher am Ich? Ich may savour blod...`(1), her whispered words sounded like a twisted mixture of some old and present languages.

A young dragon girl lost in the forest appeared in front of her eyes. It seemed to be still a kid.

`Ich wil the child ~`(2), Mahiro sang cheerfully as she was chasing after fresh meat.

`Help me! Help me, please!`, kid was screaming until her voice hoarsed.
Yet, there wasn't any soul around. Girl stood no chance of escaping from claws of a bloodthirsty demon.

`Ich shal make thou blom in profusion as thou weren dosen scarlet flour. Lette thyn blod petales dauncen aroun us beauetefullisch`(3), kid was hardly able to understand hell princess' speech.

Mahiro grabbed child's clothes and pressed her against a pine tree. In a blink of an eye, demon tore girl's throat. Blood was everywhere. Young dragon ended up in pieces and her limbs were detached from the corpse. Hell princess devoured them all with a spooky smirk on her muzzle. Only bones were left.

`Ther aren sore delicious liven thinges`(4), she licked her lips with satisfaction.

Demon princess decided to continue her journey. Enraged by blood of that young dragon, she striked towards a nearby rural area. She demanded more. Her demonic instincts told her to kill.

`Lycoris shal eft blom`(5), she said when her eyes spotted a murky village.

Pure white demonic eyeballs driven crazy were moving rapidly seeking for nourishment. There were plenty of slumbering dragons. Mahiro lurked amongst them and out of the blue she started to crush their heads one by one. She was ripping their chests with claws, pulling out their hearts dripping red and then devouring them greedily. Hell princess hung remaining village dwellers' dead bodies on trees to let them slowly decompose.

Then Mahiro left that place which she sank in blood with her own paws. She became truly exhausted after she had gone berserk. Her snow-white eyes switched their color to purple. Without any energy left, she fell into a long slumber.

I tried to make Mahiro's spoken words look as if she were speaking in middle english.

(1) `Where am I? I can smell blood...`
(2) `I want this child ~` (+from Japanese song sung by children: Hana ichimonme)
(3) `I shall make you bloom in profusion as if you were a dazzling scarlet flower. Let the blood petals of yours dance beautifully around us`
(4) `Living things there are so/very delicious`
(5) `Red spider lily shall bloom once again` (+Red spider lilies (jp. Higanbana) mean to bloom in higan – the buddhist place of dead people's souls)

(Mistakes may occur since I am not a middle english expert)
